The town of Braintree is seeking a Community Preservation Manager to interact with various elected officials, groups, boards, applicants and town departments that are seeking or who have received funding for projects pursuant to the Community Preservation Act. It is a part-time professional position that reports to the office two days a week (14 Hours) and attends monthly evening meetings.  This Position will be located within the Department of Planning and Community Development reporting directly to the Director of Planning and Community Development and Chair of the Community Preservation Committee (CPC).

Requires a bachelor’s degree in history, architecture, community planning/urban planning or in a related field with a minimum of five years of experience in a in a municipality, comparable state/federal agency or private corporation in which the position held was directly related to and required the same skill set.  Previous project management experience and interaction with Government/Public Sector agencies related to open space/recreation, community planning, housing and historic preservation is strongly desired, or an equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.
