Communications Officers are primarily responsible for coordinating prompt and efficient responses to requests for police and fire services through efficient and diligent dispatching of messages to field units. They maintain and retrieve records, files, and information for prompt dissemination to patrol units and departmental personnel. Candidates must successfully complete a background investigation and CJIS training, testing, and certification in accordance with CHSB regulations. Compensation starts at $23.88 per hour.
