The town of Walpole is seeking applicants for 35 hours/week Van Driver position in the Council on Aging Department (COA). Must be high school graduate or GED equivalent and hold a valid state license. Commercial driver’s license endorsement Class B passenger preferred. Computer skills desired. Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving. Some knowledge of senior citizen services and needs. Performs variety of transportation duties with general guidance from the department head. Interacts frequently with public, ability to respond appropriately to emergency or challenging situations. Provides scheduling coordination with the COA team, plans for and prepares efficient routes of travel, maintains mileage log for monthly reporting, maintains cleanliness of vehicle, and other duties related to the upkeep, scheduling and use of the vehicle. $22.58-$29.79/ per hour.
