Princeton, Mass. (3,500) seeks a progressive, community-oriented Police Chief to lead a full-service police department (approx. budget $875 thousand) consisting of five FT officers, six PT officers, and one Administrative Assistant. A quintessential New England community located in central Massachusetts with easy access to I-190, Princeton is minutes from Worcester, 64 miles west of Boston, and 25 miles from the New Hampshire border. Bachelor’s degree in related field and five years of progressive law enforcement experience, a minimum of three years of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity. A successful candidate must hold, or be able to acquire within 270 days of appointment, Certification as Police Officer issued by Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council; Massachusetts Class D Driver’s License; and Firearms Certification and License to Carry.

Salary range from $105,000 to $135,000, DOQ. Excellent benefits.
