The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a part of the Mayor’s leadership team and is responsible for the strategic direction, implementation, and management of the city’s Information Technology (IT) function. This role is pivotal in ensuring that technology initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives, boost operational efficiency, enhance security, and foster innovation.

Separately, the CIO is charged with the direction and oversight of infrastructure design, development, and maintenance, prioritizing the best interests of the city’s and its regional partners. This position involves implementing and utilizing advanced technology to guarantee the city’s compliance with regulatory requirements and is also responsible for evaluating and integrating new products to ensure the city maintains its standing among industry leaders, and performs all other related duties as required.
