The Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD_ is seeking a full-time Chief Financial Officer to fill the position of its longstanding, retiring CFO to manage and oversee accounting functions of the agency and to enable the agency to continue to make informed decisions about expenditures and staffing, engage in timely and effective budgeting, continue to meet detailed audit and compliance requirements, and implement financial and related reporting best management practices. The CFO is responsible for management, operation and oversight of the agency’s financial software system, maintenance of detailed and accurate financial records, preparation and dissemination of clear financial statements, providing pertinent information as requested by the Executive Director, managers, and board, as well as actively preparing for and participating with the agency’s independent accounting firm on the completion of recurring successful annual audits, and ensuring compliance and consistency with all agency contracts and state and federal requirements.
