The town of Watertown seeks a Public Health professional to join our team. Working under the direction of the Director of Public Health, the CEHO/Assistant Director’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to): assigning and reviewing the work of health officers; conducting inspections and implementing compliance programs; investigating complaints; evaluating and implementing existing environmental programs and resources; developing and directing new programs. Supervision of technical staff and consultants overseeing the environmental health and animal control programs. Assists with annual budget, grant funding, and other duties. Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in public health or related field; five years experience in inspections, environmental health code enforcement.
