The city of Lowell is seeking qualified, experienced, and energetic candidates for the position of Chief Design Planner within the Dept. of Planning & Development. This position reports to the Deputy DPD Director and prepares and implements overall plans and projects, strategies, and agendas for the city in cooperation with other staff. Utilizes contemporary and innovative planning tools to drive the city’s revitalization efforts in the Downtown and neighborhoods. Meets and works with businesses and neighborhood groups to encourage input in the city’s planning efforts and to promote involvement in city programs and activities. Manages and monitors CDBG funded programs and projects. Also, manages and monitors all local, state and federally funded planning activities and programs. Project Manager for complex municipal infrastructure projects. The salary ranges from $90,063.48 (min) to $96,166.20 (max) annually.
