The town of Douglas Fire Department is seeking candidates for the position of Fire Lieutenant/EMT, paramedic preferred. This is a supervisory level position requiring substantial fire service knowledge, skills, abilities and background. It entails skilled work that consists primarily of supervising and participating in delivering emergency services to the residents of the community.

Requirements include high school diploma, Pro-Board/IFSAC Firefighter I/II Certification, graduate of the Massachusetts Fire Academy Recruit Firefighter Training Program or other formal academy, Massachusetts EMT Certification (paramedic preferred), and five years of experience as a career firefighter/EMT.

Successful candidate must be able to complete a CORI and background check, medical physical exam, including drug screening, HRD physical ability test (PAT) as a condition of employment.

The salary for this position is $82,000 annually with benefits plus other monetary incentives based on the IAFF Local 5061 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
