Durham, NH (15,270), seeks experienced municipal finance leader to serve as a high impact executive member of the Administrator’s leadership team that works closely with elected officials and department heads to carry out the town’s policy and financial objectives. Located in NH’s seacoast region, one of the most beautiful, desired locations in the state and  just one hour north of Boston. Operating under a Town Charter with a Council-Manager form of government, the Business Manager reports directly to the Town Administrator and leads the planning, management, and control of the Town’s fiscal activities, oversees a 2026 aggregate budget of just over $39M, as well as key aspects of personnel and welfare administration. Serves as the town’s chief financial and business management resource, advising the Administrator and Town Council.

Bachelor’s degree in related field required, master’s degree preferred; five-plus years of progressively responsible experience in financial and/or business management. Municipal or public sector finance preferred. Any relevant combination of education and experience considered. EOE.
