The town of Milton is accepting applications for the position of Building Commissioner. The Building Commissioner administers and enforces the State Building code, town zoning ordinance, MA General Laws Chapter 40A, and Massachusetts Zoning Act. This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to lead a team of professional inspectors & support staff dedicated to the effective and efficient operations of the Inspectional Services department.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; advanced technical training, five years of experience in the supervision of building construction or design. Direct management experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Massachusetts Certification as an Inspector of Buildings/Building Commissioner.
Salary Range of $90,000 to $117,000, commensurate with experience
