Town of Chatham seeks a skilled Boat Operator/Marine Mechanic in the Harbormaster Division.
The position is responsible for maintaining and repairing the Division’s vessels, vehicles and equipment, assists with waterways and harbor management and holds appointment as Assistant Harbormaster. Duties include performing vessel and equipment maintenance, assisting with harbor patrols and enforcement of waterway regulations, installing and maintaining navigational aids, and responding to marine emergencies.
Position requirements include five years of relevant maritime experience and professional marine mechanic experience, CPR, AED and First Aid certification. MA Harbormasters Training Council certificate required or must be able to successfully obtain when training next offered.

This benefits and pension eligible position is 40 hours per week. Starting biweekly salary is $2,658.40 – $2,766.40; $69,118.40 – $71,926.40 annual. The town of Chatham values diversity and welcomes candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
