The town of Leicester is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Treasurer Collector. Working under the direction of the Treasurer/Collector, the position’s primary focus is payroll, benefits, insurance and other administrative human resource functions. This position will also be responsible for various duties as assigned, but not limited to, tax and fee collection, reconciliation of Treasurer’s cash, processing refunds, and other general office duties.
Candidate’s will have two years’ experience in a municipal finance office or in a human resource function, possess an associate’s degree or have any combination of education and experience. Must qualify for bonding, possess strong computer and organizational skills and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. Harpers and/or Vadar experience preferred. The town of Leicester offers competitive benefits, including a 4-day workweek. The hourly rate range for the position per the town’s FY25 Compensation plan is $22.93 to $36.60 per hour depending on experience and available appropriation.
