Grafton is seeking motivated candidates for the full-time position of Assistant Town Clerk, under the supervision of the Town Clerk. This position is responsible for assisting in the performance of the duties of the Clerk’s Office. This includes, but is not limited to; assisting in the administration of elections and related activities in compliance with state and federal laws, the annual census, voter registration and ballot preparation, processing records, issuing state license and permits, administering oaths of office, and recording minutes.

Candidates must possess knowledge of state and town regulations, bylaws, policies, programs, and operations, as well as experience in office management, and knowledge of Microsoft Office. The successful applicant will have the ability to manage multiple tasks, deal with clients in a patient and tactful manner, and have strong interpersonal skills. Candidates must be a Notary Public, or be able to obtain the designation. A valid drivers license is required.

Qualifications: associate’s degree or equivalent, and three to five years of related experience, or any equivalent combination.

This is a 35-hour per week position, with a salary range of $50,607-$57,258, depending on qualifications.
