Assistant Town Clerk

The town of Holliston is seeking applicants for the full time position of Assistant Town Clerk. This position provides administrative and clerical support to assist the Town Clerk in performing the duties of the office and acts as the Town Clerk in their absence.

This position requires a high level of attention to detail and utilizes good judgement.

Working knowledge of municipal government, state statutes and bylaws relating to the duties of the Town Clerk’s Office is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and some college is preferred. Must have a minimum of three years of office and customer service experience, preferably in a municipal setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must have, or be willing to obtain, notary public within 12 months of hire.

Pursuant to the town’s consolidated personnel bylaws, this position is classified as Grade 400, Step 1 which is $24.62 per hour. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position at 35 hours per week.
