Assistant Town Clerk
Up to 19.5 hours/week part-time non-benefited, hours may be more/less during election periods.

Summary: Provide assistance to the town clerk’s office, process voter registrations, assisting customers with certified copies of birth, marriage and death certificates, process dog licenses, in town clerk;s absence. Process census forms, etc. The assistant will work during elections and town meetings, and fill in when town clerk is out.

Requirements: Strong clerical, computer, phone and people skills, attentive to detail, able to work independently, very flexible with schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school education, two years of office experience, experience in a municipal setting and dealing with the public desired, but not required, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Windows, Word and Excel are a plus.
