The town of Stow is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Town Administrator. This position is full-time, 37.5 hours, FLSA exempt, and is perfect for a dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic individual looking to make a big difference in a small town. The position serves as the Human Resources Director and Constituent Services Administrator and assists the Town Administrator in a wide range of functional areas and initiatives and performs a wide variety of special projects and tasks as assigned. Performs all other related work as required.

Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, human resources management, or a closely related field; master’s degree preferred. Five to seven years of related administrative experience, preferably in a municipal setting; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess a valid Massachusetts Class D motor vehicle operator’s license. HR certification is desirable.

Salary: Grade 8 of the town’s compensation and wage schedule, with FY24 salary as Step 2 – $94,107. Benefit eligible. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until filled.
