The town of Dover (pop. 6,200) is seeking an Assistant Town Administrator to join its management team and play a key role in shaping the future of a vibrant Massachusetts community. Working directly with the Town Administrator/Chief Administrative Officer, the Assistant Town Administrator helps lead and coordinate Town government operations, with opportunities to make a real difference in:
• Annual operating amd capital budgets
• Risk management
• Procurement and contracts
• Support for town boards and committees
• Municipal administration and special projects
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, or a related field is required, with a minimum of three to five years of previous related experience, or a combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. The full hiring range is $109,144 – $151,074 DOQ.
Special Requirements: As a condition of employment, the employee must be CORI certified; Valid Class D Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Driver’s license. MCCPO required; or the ability to retain certification within a year of employment.
