The town of Easton has an exciting opportunity for a highly responsible, creative, and professional Assistant Town Administrator, full-time, 40 hours per week. The Assistant Town Administrator is a key member of the town’s executive and financial leadership team and represents the town through substantial public and private engagements. Assists the Town Administrator to provide daily control over a variety of ongoing town activities and projects. Incumbent participates in cross-departmental collaborative projects and is also independently responsible for their own portfolio of projects relating to economic development, infrastructure planning, budgetary analysis, process improvement, procurement, community engagement, and operations. Easton is actively engaged in planning for significant municipal facilities replacements, multi-modal transportation improvements, and service modernization across health and public safety. The Assistant Town Administrator will have a leadership role in the management of opioid litigation settlement funds as well as ongoing citizens academy programs and necessary improvements to online and traditional communications with the public.
Recommended Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business management or related field; a minimum of three years of experience in business management or related field; master’s degree preferred; municipal management or comparable governmental or managerial experience strongly preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with demonstrated success in areas of strategic planning and economic development, community engagement and inclusion, energy and climate initiatives, board and committee engagement, and project management are especially encouraged to apply.
This is a salaried non-union position with excellent benefits and a municipal pension system. Anticipated hiring range is $108,846-$127,492, DOQ.
