The town of Sandwich has an opening for a full-time, 40 hour/week Assistant Recreation Director. Position will assist Recreation Director with a wide variety of Recreation Department tasks. Some weekend and evening hours required. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, be responsible, flexible, have excellent communication skills as well as excellent computer skills, be friendly and have the demonstrated ability to relate effectively with people. Bachelor’s degree in recreation, therapeutic recreation, physical education or an equivalent combination of background and education. Must have at least two years of related experience in management, supervision, program/event planning, and municipal budgeting. Must be CPR Certified and be familiar with ADA requirements. Salary: $66,000-$70,000 with excellent benefits.
