The town of Plymouth seeks qualified applicants for the position of ASSISTANT PUMPING STATION OPERATOR for the Department of Public Works, Water Division.
Skilled manual work in assisting in the operation and preventative maintenance of specialized equipment and in general water system facilities. May occasionally supervise not more than two full-time employees. Assists in preparing required Department of Environmental Protection Agency reports; performs maintenance and repair of equipment and works with hazardous chemicals. Must be able to maintain accurate records and upon training, perform computer data entry
Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles Class D Driver’s License. Massachusetts Drinking Water Supply Facilities Certification Grade T-2 for drinking water treatment facilities. High school graduate with three years’ experience in water utility operations at least one year of which is in water treatment plant operations with electric or generator driven pumping equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
