Assistant Public Health Director
Town of Weymouth
The town of Weymouth has a challenging opportunity for an Assistant Public Health Director. Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Public Health. Makes constant contact with Health Department Employees, the general public and other town departments including but not limited to the Mayor’s Office, Fire Dept., Police Dept., businesses answering questions on public health issues in writing and orally. Makes frequent contacts with other towns, state and local public health officials, environmental consulting companies, property and business owners, and tenants. Works to actively pursue and be awarded other public health grants as they become available. Conducts plan reviews for Health Department Permits, Planning Department referral, Building Department referrals and Fire Department referrals.
Works with the State Attorney General’s Office and the District Attorneys in Norfolk County on abandoned housing initiatives and to utilize the legal system to gain compliance with violations.

In order to be considered, candidates must possess master’s or bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, environmental science, chemistry, or related health field. Four years technical or professional experience in the field of public health, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing others. The salary range for this position is $80,790.35 to $99,572.33/annually
