The town of Upton seeks to fill the full-time benefited position of Assistant Planner to support the planning board, conservation commission and CPC through the Land Use and Inspectional Services Director.
The Assistant Planner provides staff assistance reviewing applications and coordinating the preparation of meeting agendas and information as well as other projects and tasks as identified by the Director. The position will also help oversee the development and implementation of short- and long-range planning initiatives set forth by the town and the department.
Must have excellent time management and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and website/social media postings.
Bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning or related field and one to three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Municipal experience is desirable—salary: $57,881 – 62,240 DOE.
