The city of Worcester seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Director to coordinate and perform work associated with transportation policy, planning, engineering and design, as well as assist in the management of the department and help lead the development and implementation of transportation infrastructure and programs serving Worcester’s residents, businesses and visitors. The Assistant Director works closely with multiple departments and agencies to collect and analyze data, develop policies, prioritize and coordinate transportation improvements, evaluate transportation performance and safety, and track implementation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience; OR, a master’s degree and four years of experience will be considered. Prior supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, and possession of driver’s license are required.
ANNUAL SALARY: $84,904 – $98,158, full-time, exempt, with an excellent benefits package.
