The town of Andover seeks a highly skilled and dynamic Human Resources professional to join its HR department. Under the Direction of the Human Resources Director, the Assistant Director will work collaboratively with the HR staff to assist with a wide variety of management responsibilities, including labor relations, collective bargaining and personnel management. Key responsibilities include providing labor relations support to both school and town, providing support in the area of administration of collective bargaining agreements, acting as the Affirmative Action Officer, and working with IT to analyze software solutions designed to meet the department’s needs to promote state of the art HR practices. The Assistant Director will also manage responsibilities outlined in the contractual agreements, such as producing seniority reports, monitoring teacher licensure and approval of teacher track changes.

Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred with five to seven years of HR experience. Salary range $105k -$115k, commensurate with experience and excellent benefits.
