Working as part of the management team of the Human Resources Department, the Assistant Director of Benefits Administration is responsible for managing and optimizing the benefits programs for city employees and retirees. This role encompasses the oversight of various programs, including health, life, dental insurance, flexible spending accounts (FSA), employee assistance program (EAP), unemployment benefits, and disability insurance programs. In addition, the Assistant Director of Benefits Administration will play a crucial role in developing, enhancing, and ensuring that human resources processes, programs, policies, and management practices align with industry best practices and the city’s core values of anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
