The city of Cambridge is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to assist the Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) in providing comprehensive design and construction oversight services. The oversight shall include the review and comprehension of the drawings and specifications, reviewing shop drawings for compliance with the contract documents, providing daily input and effective collaboration with other city staff, the Architect, Contractor and/or the Construction Manager. This position further assists the OPM with overseeing the budget, scheduling, and enforcing the quality of the design and construction and requires a comprehensive knowledge of building systems to assist the OPM in the evaluation of change orders for merit, labor costs and material costs. The city OPM staff has other projects in various stages of design and construction which the selected candidate may be assigned. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in building construction or related discipline. Three years of demonstrated, successful large-scale project management and building construction management experience. $94,000 – $111,000/year, plus excellent benefits.
