The town of Littleton is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time 40 hour/week, benefits eligible Assistant Cemetery Superintendent position in the Cemetery Department. Duties include interacting with other town departments, general public, customers, and vendors as required, answering telephone calls, maintaining up-to-date cemetery records both in computer files and on maps, assisting in maintaining availability of lot information and sells lots/graves, memory trees, and gardens to the public, providing tours and discussing the client’s needs, and operating equipment/vehicles.

Successful candidates will be a high school graduate with five years of related experience in various landscaping, construction and maintenance work. Business experience including use of computers and typical office and accounting software programs. Knowledge and ability to learn comprehensive cemetery mapping computer application program, possession and maintenance of valid Mass. operator’s license and Hoisting 2B license, and a Pesticide/Herbicide Spray License.
The starting salary range is $27.38/hr – $28.77/hr, commensurate with experience. This is a non-exempt position governed by the Employee Handbook and Personnel Bylaw. Application with cover letter and resume should be sent to HR@littletonma.org.
