Watertown Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Business Manager. The successful candidate will have strong data and technology skills, be sharp, professional, have strong time management skills, a strong work ethic, be able to maintain confidentiality, and have strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, management, accounting, or related) desired. Municipal or school experience in finance desired however private sector experience equally qualifies. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, experience in creating PowerPoint presentations, charts, graphs, pivot tables, Vlookups and other forms of extracting data and putting it into documents and concise and well-laid out presentations and reports. Experience with financial software or ability to quickly obtain proficiency with software applications (Munis or other), excellent written and oral communication skills, familiarity with typical internal controls as they relate to finance, ability to recognize and resolve problems with minimal administrative intervention, accuracy and attention to detail, strong analytical, conceptual and reconciliation skills. Training and mentoring will be provided however the use of technology to present data as described and some accounting or finance experience are both prerequisites.
