ASSISTANT BUILDING COMMISSIONER
The town of Orleans is currently recruiting for an Assistant Building Commissioner. This position performs administrative, supervisory and technical duties within the Building Department. Interpretation, application and enforcement of the MA State Building Code, local zoning bylaw and any and all other applicable regulations. In addition, assists the Building Commissioner with oversight and management of office and inspectional personnel and all other related duties.

Salary range is $74,575-$105,372, commensurate with qualifications
The town contributors 80% of HMO health insurance premiums and 65% for PPOs health insurance premiums.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or a master level of trade knowledge and minimum 5 years of prior work experience in the supervision of building construction or design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements:
Driver’s License
MA Construction Supervisors License and Certified by the State as a Local Inspector within 12 months of appointment required.
