ASSISTANT ASSESSOR OF TAXES (RESIDENTIAL)

The city of Worcester’s Assessing Division seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Assessor of Taxes (Residential) to assist in the revaluation of real and personal property in the city, and perform field data collection, data quality reviews, market research and other tasks related to annual revaluation of all taxable residential properties. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s degree in real estate studies, economics, finance, or related field; two years of experience in a role involving the valuation of real property, such as appraiser, valuation data manager, real property appraisal aide, or related role. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. MA Driver’s License and Department of Revenue Certification as Assessor within 12 months of appointment required. SALARY: $20.58 – $27.27 hourly, full-time, excellent benefits package.
