Provides the leadership, knowledge, and supervision for the administrative functions of the Assessing Department. Maintains highly professional customer support functions both over the counter and telephonically. Oversees the data management system and supervises the administration of the yearly assessing update program and works under the direction of the Chief Assessor. Position full time Monday through Friday.
Experience in similar leadership role in local government, associate’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience; familiarity with New Hampshire State Statutes related to tax assessment; must be proficient with computers and all software necessary to do this job; excellent customer service skills required; combination of experience and education will be considered. Ability to work with all levels of staff and resolve issues regarding the day-to-day administrative operations of the department.
