The city of Fitchburg is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of Airport Manager Under the direction of the Airport Commission and the Mayor, the Municipal Airport Manager is responsible for the administration, operations, maintenance, and development of the city’s municipal airport. The Manager oversees airport services, facilities, personnel, and financial activities, and supports capital planning initiatives to ensure the airport operates in a safe, efficient, and fiscally responsible manner. The position exercises independent judgment within established policies and regulatory frameworks and provides recommendations to the Airport Commission on operational, financial, and policy matters. The ideal candidate will have an FAA Private Pilot License, however, a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management may be considered in lieu of FAA Private Pilot License. The salary range for this position is $81,484 – $144,144.
