EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Assessor and Assistant Administrator and the general direction of the Board of Assessors, maintains property record database system including legal ownership, mailing addresses, associated documents and photos. Analyzes current recorded deeds/plans, sales questionnaires and building permits. Codes and enters new data in database, maintains sales book and generates reports for pertinent departments. Generates reports, updates maps, processes applications for abatements, balances the annual exemption report with Town Collector and Town Accountant; prepares reports for submission to the Massachusetts Department of Revenue; prepares and processes warrants for review and action by the Board of Assessors; prepares certified abutter’s lists, etc.

MIN. QUALIFICATIONS: Requires high school diploma or equivalent and associates’ degree or two year certificate in administrative, secretarial or paralegal field of study. Requires three years or more of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

COMPENSATION: Grade 2, $21.20/hr to $27.18/hr DOQ (as of July 1)

35 hours per week, union position, full benefits.
