Looking to build a rewarding career in municipal finance? The town of Harvard is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our Finance department.

This full-time (40 hours/week) position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director/Town Accountant and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of municipal finance functions, including accounts payable, utility billing, year-end and month-end reporting, and general ledger support. What we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Candidates should have:

  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
  • Three to five years of accounting or finance experience (municipal experience a plus)
  • Strong Excel and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Compensation:
Full hourly pay range: $26.94 – $36.38.
