The town of Wellesley Department of Public Works seeks a full-time Water and Sewer Maintenance Worker for the Water and Sewer division. This position involves skilled, semi-skilled, and general labor supporting the inspection, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of the town’s water and sewer systems. Duties include the use of hand and power tools, operation of construction equipment such as Class D vehicles, excavators, backhoes, forklifts, and participation in the town’s snow and ice control program. Availability for standby, emergency, and weekend work is required.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid MA Class D license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A good employment record
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Hoisting Engineer’s License classes 2A and 1C within one year of hire
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to use hand and power tools
Pay range:
• $21.24 – $28.53 per hour, DOQ
