General Description:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works and through considerable individual initiative, the Town Engineer supports Department policies, manages major infrastructure projects and serves as the engineering authority of the Town. The Town Engineer shall undertake assigned duties in a thorough, efficient, and professionally competent and courteous manner.
Administrative Duties:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works and through individual initiative the Town Engineer is responsible for leading engineering operations including planning field and office activities, developing and implementing policies, and overseeing the planning, design, construction, maintenance and repair of town infrastructure. The position is responsible for working collaboratively with various town departments and staff to ensure engineering needs are met.
