The city of Somerville is in search of an HR Recruiter. The HR Recruiter partners with hiring managers to attract, source, and hire diverse, qualified candidates while delivering a positive and consistent candidate experience. The role builds and maintains strong talent pipelines aligned with diversity, equity, and inclusion goals through active sourcing, outreach, advertising, and community engagement. Responsibilities include posting vacancies, developing passive candidates, reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, and serving as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process. The Recruiter supports panel interviews, extends offers, assists with pre-employment, onboarding, union, and civil service hiring processes, and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role collaborates closely with HR partners to strengthen recruitment, onboarding, and engagement efforts and requires strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills in a diverse public-sector environment. Performs other related duties that may be assigned. 

Hours: Full-time, City Hall Hours. In-Person position.

Salary: $75,000, annualized plus benefits
