This position oversees all financial operations, including Accounting, Treasury, Collections, and Assessing while ensuring compliance with Massachusetts laws, by-laws, and GASB standards. The Finance Director also plays a central role in budget development, capital planning, borrowing, and long-term fiscal strategy for both town and Sshool operations. The town has an AA+ bond rating and an annual operating budget of $49M.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred; five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, including significant experience in budgeting, staff supervision, and strategic financial planning. Public sector experience highly desirable; MUNIS experience strongly desired; or any combination of education and experience.
Salary: $125,000–$145,000, plus comprehensive benefits. $10,000 performance based incentive, paid in two installments: $5,000 after three months of employment and $5,000 after five months of employment, subject to satisfactory performance. Flexible work schedule may be available.
