The town of Harvard seeks qualified applicants for a 40 hour/week position of Executive Assistant to the Town Administrator. This role provides complex, highly-visible administrative support and serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the Town Administrator and Select Board.
Reporting to the Town Administrator, responsibilities include but are not limited to preparation of the Annual Town report, prepares agendas and meeting packets for Select Board meetings and posts various meetings including Select Board meetings, attend meetings of the Select Board to take meetings minutes, researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the office, serves as webmaster for the town website, facilitates requests for special events, processes all property and vehicle claims with insurance company and assist with annual renewal process, assists with the annual and special town meeting preparation including preparation of the warrants and Finance Committee booklet for printing and mailing, and serves as liquor license and common victualler liaison, which includes managing the annual license process for the Select Board.
Ideal applicants will have an associate degree in business administration; Bachelor’s degree preferred, and seven to ten years of progressive administrative experience; or a combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in municipal government is a plus. Designation as a Notary Public or ability to attain designation is desired.
