The town of Norfolk seeks applicants for a Public Works Superintendent. The incumbent supervises and directs the daily operations of the Department of Public Works including the highway operations, transfer station, cemeteries, and parks. The Superintendent confers with the DPW Director regarding ongoing and future projects and supervises all highway, grounds, and solid waste personnel daily. The incumbent oversees the construction and maintenance of town roads, sidewalks, bridges, and drainage systems and coordinates the maintenance of town cemeteries, parks, memorials, and the grassed areas of the town’s athletic fields. The incumbent establishes and administers all snow and ice control operations for the town, including supervising winter maintenance and snow removal activities. This position reports directly to the DPW Director.
Annual Salary: $74,921.60 – 78,686.40. Starting pay is based on qualifications and experience. The Town offers a generous benefits package.
