The town of Amherst is seeking a dynamic leader to develop, implement, and monitor a strategic plan that will advance a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture throughout the Town. The DEI office is a newly developed department, created to ensure alignment between town activities and the town’s commitment to eradicating the effects of systemic racism in town government and town-affiliated organizations. The Director will review and make recommendations to revise policies, procedures, bylaws, values, goals, and missions to foster an unbiased and inclusive environment that is free of discrimination, harassment, and negative stereotyping toward any person or group.
