The town’s Human Resources department is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the full-time, Monday – Thursday, position of the Director of Assessing to work under the administrative supervision of the Town Administrator. The Director of Assessing is responsible for the professional, administrative, technical and supervisory work related to the valuation and re-valuation of all real and personal property within the town in accordance with Department of Revenue regulations and related Massachusetts General Laws.

The salary range, depending on experience, is $95,125.00 – $110,275.94 increasing as of July 1 to $97,503.12 – $113,032.84, annually based upon forty (40) hours a week, fifty-two (52) weeks a year. There is also a very generous benefits package, including paid time off, professional development and health and dental insurance (paid at 68% and 75% of the premiums). All are in accordance with current Collective Bargaining Agreement. This is an overtime exempt position.

Possession of General Real Estate Appraiser’s License or the ability to obtain one within three years of appointment required. MAAO Designation preferred.
