Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Sheriff’s Office is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join our Executive Team. The CFO plays a key leadership role in shaping organizational strategy, guiding policy decisions, and supporting long‑range operational planning and resource allocation. As the agency’s principal financial advisor, the CFO ensures transparent, accountable, and forward‑looking fiscal management.

This position oversees all financial operations, including budget development and administration, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, asset management, forecasting, and cost analysis. The CFO also directs all accounting functions across the department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial stewardship.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with the ability to navigate complex financial environments, provide clear guidance to executive leadership, and support mission‑driven decision‑making. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and at least ten years of relevant experience, including five years in a supervisory role. State finance, governmental accounting, and strong communication and state financial systems skills are required. A CPA or master’s degree is preferred.
