Under the general supervision of the City Clerk. The Administrative Assistant provides high-quality customer service to the public, processes licenses and permits, maintains vital records and voter registration data, assists with federal, state, and local elections, supports City Council meetings, manages Open Meeting Law postings, and responds to public records requests. The position requires handling confidential information, maintaining accurate records, and working collaboratively with staff, boards, and the public.
Qualifications: High school diploma with coursework in office procedures; one to three years of clerk or administrative experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic bookkeeping. Knowledge of election laws is preferred. Must be, or be able to become, a Notary Public and Commissioner to Qualify.
Occasional evening or non-office hours are required for elections and meetings.
Pay: $27.00 per hour
This is a full-time, non-exempt, non-union position working 35 hours per week with full benefits.
